The 2008 Pie Sale Campaign made 700 pies and raised more than $5,200. Thanks to everyone who volunteered or purchased a pie to make a difference. A special thank you to Bay County Farm Bureau, Auburn Fertilizer, Meijers, Pat & Jerry's Family Restaurant, Michigan Sugar, and Star of the West for donating materials and resources to the project so that every dollar raised could go to shelter operations.

State Representative Ken Horn claims the honor of being this year's Race for Rescue celebrity go-cart winner. Congratulations, Ken! Other celebrity drivers included Dan Armstrong - NBC TV 25, Jodi K - The Moose 94.5, Krista Kern - Dixie Motor Speedway, Adam Shilling - Wheelz 104.5, and Ryan Slocum - ABC TV-12. The third annual fund raising event, held on Friday, July 11th, at the Dixie Motor Speedway, raised over $10,000 to benefit both the Saginaw Rescue Mission and the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission of Bay City. Thanks to all who supported this event through your attendance and financial gifts!.
