Bay County HBA Home and Garden Lifestyle Show, February 24 - 26th at the Bay County Civic Arena, 4231 Shrestha Drive in Bay City.  Admission is $3 or 3 cans of non-perishable food items that will be donated to the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission of Bay City.  For more information, visit the Bay County Home Builders Association website.  The Good Samaritan Rescue Mission will have a booth at the show - come by and see us!

Good Samaritan Rescue Mission Famous Dutch Apple Pies!  Orders are now being taken for fresh or frozen pies, $9.00 each!  All proceeds go to GSRM emergency shelter operations.  First 700 paid orders will be filled.  Call in your order today to Marlene at 893.5973, ext. 21 or by email, marlene@gsrmbaycity.org.  Pick up dates:  Monday and Tuesday, March 19 & 20, and Monday and Tuesday, March 26 & 27.  GSRM_pies.JPG








Operation Hope Tote is underway! Each spring, the Rescue Mission is blessed to have many churches and individuals demonstrate their care for the homeless by providing Hope Totes for our guests.  These brightly-colored bags contain the hygiene items a client will  need while staying at the Mission, a tangible demonstration of love  to hurting and needy people.  The Hope Tote drive will run from February 1st through Easter.  Call Marlene, 893.5973, ext. 21, to get a Hope Tote kit.  We appreciate your generosity! 

State Theatre Food Drives:  The State Theatre of Bay City presents Free Movie Sundays in 2012.  Bring a non-perishable donation for the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission. Enjoy a free movie and the delicious State Theatre popcorn. Movies begin at 2:00 p.m.; Dates and movie titles are as follows: 

  • February 26 - TOY STORY
  • March 11 - TOY STORY 2
  • April 1 - TOY STORY 3
  • April 15 - UP

Director's Luncheons for pastors, church staff, missions or Christian service committee members. Please make plans to attend an informal, one-on-one luncheon with Dan Streeter, executive director of Rescue Ministries of Mid-Michigan.  Discuss how the mission can help your members in need as well as how your church can partner with the mission to have a positive impact on the Bay City community.  Luncheons are from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Call Marlene Sajdak to reserve your date from the following:

Auxiliary Luncheon: 1st Wednesday of the Month - 12:00 p.m. at the Saginaw Rescue Mission - Join us for a time of fellowship and food. Also hear updates about mission news from the mission staff. It will be an inspirational time of singing, praises, and prayer. Mark your calendar to join us the 1st Wednesday of every month.
